Composite 2026 Annual Sportsfest

Composite 2026 Annual Sportsfest: Games, Teamwork & Fun

Some of the best memories at Composite happen away from our desks—and our 2026 Annual Sportsfest was proof of that.

Held on September 6, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Brokenshire College in Madapo, Davao City, the event brought our people together for a full day of competition, team presentations, performances, and fun.

But the excitement didn’t begin on the main event day. For seven weeks, Sportsfest pre-events gave everyone more opportunities to participate, cheer for their teammates, and enjoy a little friendly rivalry before the big celebration.

From basketball and badminton to e-games, an Amazing Race, and even a volleyball match with an unexpected twist, the build-up was just as varied as the main event itself.

Seven Weeks of Pre-Events: The Countdown to Sportsfest

Before the main event, Composite’s Sportsfest featured a different set of activities each week. The variety meant there was something for different interests, whether participants preferred physical sports, strategic games, or digital competition.

Week 1: Basketball, Board Games, and E-Games

The first week kicked things off with a mix of sports and games. Basketball brought the action to the court, while board games and e-games gave participants other ways to compete, think strategically, and enjoy time with their colleagues.

Week 2: Fun Run

Week two was all about getting moving. The Fun Run gave participants a chance to get active, challenge themselves, and enjoy the experience together. It was a reminder that Sportsfest wasn’t only about winning matches—it was also about taking part and making memories along the way.

Week 3: Pickleball

Pickleball brought another sport into the mix, adding a fresh challenge to the weekly lineup. With a different pace and style of play, it gave participants another opportunity to test their skills and enjoy some friendly competition.

Week 4: Amazing Race

Week four brought out everyone’s playful and competitive sides with the Amazing Race. Teams tackled a series of challenges, including sack race, piko, luksong tinik, puzzle-solving, balloon jog, takyan, and the tie untangling relay.

It wasn’t just about speed. Participants had to work together, figure things out, and keep going through one challenge after another. It was the kind of activity where teamwork could make all the difference—and where the funniest moments could happen when things didn’t go exactly as planned.

Week 5: Dodgeball, Board Games, and E-Games

Dodgeball added another dose of action in week five, alongside the return of board games and e-games. The combination kept the competition varied, giving participants different ways to get involved and support their fellow players.

Week 6: Volleyball—with a Twist

Volleyball got an unexpected upgrade in week six. Instead of the usual volleyball, participants played with a much bigger ball, turning a familiar sport into a whole new challenge.

The twist made the game even more entertaining, showing that a little change can turn an ordinary activity into something everyone will remember.

Week 7: Badminton, Board Games, and E-Games

The final pre-event week featured badminton, board games, and e-games. It was the last stretch before the main celebration, keeping the competitive spirit going and giving participants one more chance to join the action before Sportsfest reached its biggest day.

Seven weeks, different challenges, and plenty of opportunities to connect—the pre-events helped set the stage for the celebration that followed.

The Big Day: A Celebration of Team Spirit

After weeks of build-up, it was finally time for the main event.

The day opened with the parade of teams and the lighting of the torch, followed by opening remarks from Composite CEO Chris Gerra and the oath-taking ceremony. These moments officially kicked off the celebration and set the tone for a day filled with competition, participation, and camaraderie.

One of the early highlights was the presentation of team yells. Each group had its moment to bring energy to the event, show its personality, and rally its members. The cheers added to the atmosphere, reminding everyone that Sportsfest was about representing your team and showing up for one another.

The program also featured intermission performances, giving participants and spectators a chance to enjoy the talents of their colleagues between the competitions.

The main event featured a full lineup of competitions, keeping participants and supporters engaged throughout the day.

Basketball and volleyball took center stage, with men’s and women’s elimination games leading to the championship matchups. Badminton and board games also continued through their elimination rounds and finals, giving players a chance to put their skills and strategies to the test.

For those who enjoy a different kind of competition, the program included
Mobile Legends finals, bringing esports into the celebration. Jeopardy challenged participants’ knowledge, while bingo gave everyone another way to join in the fun.

And, of course, no big company celebration would be complete without games that brought out everyone’s playful side. The program included Jack en Poy, Message Relay, Limborak, Tigso, and Hulahoop. These activities offered a lighter break from the more competitive matches and created room for plenty of laughs and unexpected moments.

The day was a mix of athletic skill, quick thinking, strategy, and good-natured fun. Whether someone was playing, cheering, or simply enjoying the activities, there was always something happening.

More Than Competition

Our annual Sportsfest is about more than the final scores or the names called during awarding. It creates opportunities for our VAs to connect outside their usual work routines, discover one another’s strengths, and build relationships through shared experiences.

The seven weeks of pre-events made that especially clear. Not everyone has the same favorite sport or game, but the variety of activities gave our people different ways to participate. From the Fun Run and Amazing Race to badminton, board games, and Mobile Legends, the celebration made room for different interests and strengths.

On the main event day, the same spirit carried through the team yells, championship matches, intermission performances, and group activities. The competition brought the excitement, but the VAs made the celebration what it was.
